In July 2019, Φ 813 510Km In-line Inspection Project carried out in Eastern China. Before the in-line inspection, we should conduct field exploration and make the implementation plan of the in-line inspection.

In this process, we found that the pipeline position is lack of pipeline marker pile, cathodic protection pile, corner pile and lack of receiver and launcher. And new pipeline has no power supply and their height difference is large.

As for these problems, we suggest to the end user that the sign pile should be added to facilitate the owner's later management and next inspection. And use of air compressor to produce compressed air as the power medium, and improve the back pressure, prevent the drop caused by the tool speed too fast. According to the optimal speed range of detector operation 1 ~ 3m/s, the diameter of pipeline is 813mm, the displacement of air compressor is 17m3 /min and the exhaust pressure is 1.7Mpa. It is calculated that the detector speed reaches 1m/s under the back pressure of 1Mpa, and the number of air compressors required is 18. The owner acknowledges this kind of solution.

And the owner also attaches great importance to protect the environment. Of course，we have been committed to environmental protection, as far as possible to reduce the harm to the environment. This time, we plan to transfer the stored gas after the first inspection to the second inspection pipeline, so as to reduce the running time of air compressor, the loss of diesel fuel and the emission of carbon dioxide, so as to make an effort to protect the environment. In addition, the trees and grass within the operation scope are supposed to be protected, environmental protection marks ought to be set up in the pigging operation area, and environmental protection education should be conducted to operators to improve their awareness of environmental protection. Collect and dispose the waste products in time, and prevent the leakage of water, electricity and oil of pigging equipment, so that the materials are used up and the site is clean at the end of the project.
